MAY 2013
APRIL 2013 Jess Roush of West Virginia has rode since he was a kid (as many of us remember him smoking the adults on Buckwheat.) Now after taking a long layoff, he recently told his grandparents, Edwin & Jane Roush of Letart, WV that he wanted to start riding again. Jane asked him which horse he wanted to start riding and he picked their young and talented mare, " Image of Ragtime" by Ragtime Jet. At his first show of the season at Winfield, WV Jess had an impressive weekend clocking two 20.3's and running well in the barrel races too. Great to see you riding again Jess...you are a tough team together.

JANUARY 2013 After 15 years away from the horses & shows, Kevin & Julie Laswell of Santa Claus, Indiana puchased TC Playin Doc Quixote at the beginning of January. Kevin competed at his first AQHA show January 25-27 and won Circuit Champion in Amateur Barrel Racing and qualifing for the 2013 AQHA World Show. DECEMBER 2012 Congratulations to SHEZA DAN GOOD TIME, 3/4 sister to 2012 AQHA Amateur Barrrel Racing World Champion-Gotta Another Gear. Owner & Exhibitor Kenneth Schwamb of New York earned their AQHA Register of Merit in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.
NOVEMBER 2012 Lynn Cornelius of Arkansas exhibited Pacnhowietothebar to the 2012 AQHA Reserve Amateur Stake Race Championship in Oklahoma City, OK. "Great win for a Good family!"
OCTOBER 2012 UNDER THE BAR aka "Billy" and Betty Dyer of Maine...had a great run to win the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress Amateur Select Barrel Racing in Columbus, Ohio. Top Ten in Amateur Select Pole Bending. "Glad we were their to see it all happen!!"
SEPTEMBER 2012 Another big win for Morgan Jones and Money Makin Jet. Shown here winning new trophy saddle at the 2012 Kentucky NBHA State Show were the Youth 1-D Champions. Held September 28-30, 2012 in Liberty, Kentucky. Morgan and MJ also claimed the 2012 AQHYA World Championship title in Youth Barrel Racing at the 2012 AQHYA World Show!! "Good horses, talented young rider with some dedication and the hard work pays off!"
August 2012 Awesome job by the 2012 Kentucky Youth World Team. Loved their enthusiam and support for fellowing members. Their talents were recognized in the arena!!!!! Together they brought home 2 World Championships, 1 Reserve, couple of bronze trophies, 3 Hi-Pt trophies, several Top Ten awards, numberous finalist awards and many intermediate trophies from the 2012 AQHYA World Championship Show held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. "WHAT A GREAT YEAR!!!"
July 2012 Repeat victory for Reds Little Cruiser and Antonette at the 2012 NBHA West Vriginia State Championship Show. They outrun 186 head to win the 1-D earning a big check and a new trophy saddle. You do a great job of riding him! Pictured holding Cruise is LL Gwinn.

March 2012 Brittany Givens and Ragtimes Jet, a three yr old by Ragtime Jet. She started this nice colt and they look to have a promising future together. He will make his debut at the 2012 National Pole Bending Show in the Kindergarten Pole Bending Futurity.

January 2012 BIG CONGRTULATIONS! "Kelsey Givens and Jays Misty Dancer" 2011 AQHA HI-PT YOUTH STAKE RACE CHAMPION Plus you won of the Limited Rider division in Youth Stake Race. You took a mare that had not ever seen a stake race, taught her the pattern and together you earned her AQHA Superior in that event. That is a great accomplishment and we are so happy for you. It was a great year and we are glad we had it to do together.

Switching from the pleasure pen to barrel racing...Kathy Bawel of Jasper, paired up with the horse of a lifetime in Johnnys Cookin. In her first year of competing in barrel racing this duo were circuit champions at there first show together in January of 2011. They were qualifiers for the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show in Amateur & Senior Barrel Racing. Best of all she is the 2011 AQHA Amateur Limited-Rider Barrel Racing Champion. She was dedicated and he was always ready for their next run!! Johnnys Cookin will be missed and we wish The Diggs Family of Tennessee all the best in 2012.

So happy for Regina McCardle and Kolton Dan. This team paired up together in April...quickly got qualified in both Amateur and Senior Poles. Traveled to Oklahoma City in November for the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show placing TOP TEN in both Amateur and Senior Pole Bending. She rode like a champ and Kolton Dan was solid as a rock!

Mahoganys Undertaker and Kelly Riley of OH, pictured at the 2011 All American Quarter Horse CONGRESS in Columbus, OH. Were Reserve Champion in Novice Amateur Pole Bending. Sara Walker, only 9 yrs old of Livingston, TN and her AQHA World Champion Pole Bending mare, TRUE RANCHER DOLL won the 2011 Kentucky Futurity BIF Championship in Senior Barrel Racing on Labor Day Weekend in Liberty, Kentucky. "LONG LIVE COWGIRLS!"

2011 NBHA Maine State Championship Show was held on August 14. BETTY DYER and her super horse, UNDER THE BAR take top honors in both the Open 1-D and Senior 1-D Championships. Under the Bar is also an AQHA Reserve World Champion Pole Bending horse by the late Undertaker Billy. Best of luck to this team at the QH CONGRESS!

2011 NBHA West Virginia State Championship was recently held July 8-10. In just 6 months of ownership, Antonette hooked up on Reds Little Cruiser to smoke a tough field of 172 barrel horses to become the 2011 NBHA Open 1-D Champion over the past weekend. We are extremely happy for her and LL Gwinn. GREAT JOB!!

Kelsey and HOWBADDOUWANIT, were named IBHA WORLD CHAMPIONS in Youth Pole Bending at the International Buckskin World Championships in Memphis, TN.
