In 2007 Lauri won the AQHA Amateur Barrel Racing title on RULLAH RANCHER.  This was a back to back win for RULLAH RANCHER and the Givens Family.

FRENCH KISS THIS captures three world championships at the 2008 PALOMINO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW July 25th in Tulsa, Oklahoma.   Chuck won the Junior Pole Bending and Stake Race.   Lauri won the  Junior Barrel Racing and Reserve Amateur Barrel Racing.
August proved to be a very memorable month for us, especially on August 14th, 2009 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Where Chuck was inducted into the National Pole Bending Association Hall of Fame for Breeder of the year! Our sincere thanks to the members and officers of this association for this special recognition. We truly appreciate and are humbled by this honor.       LA
On July 24, 2009 theS Palomino World Championship Show took place in Tulsa, OK. “FRENCH KISS THIS” added 3 more PHBA world titles to her resume and a PHBA reserve world championship in Amateur Barrel Racing for the second straight year. “SHINES LIKE NEW MONY”, was a big winner at the PHBA World Championship Show earning the World Title in Junior Pole Bending. We couldn’t be happier…this mares are half-sisters out of “SHE LUVS ALOTTA MONY”, who has AQHA Superiors in pole bending and barrel racing…with an additional 300+ points in these events. All of the above mares were bred and raised on the farm.

Our first trip to Amarillo, TX for the AQHA Bayer Select World Championship Show on Sept. 4th, 2009 will be one to remember. Chuck had reached the minimum age required to compete at this show and wanted to attend. From the moment we entered the fairgrounds until we left everyone who was involved with this show was so helpful and very hospitable. On Friday, Chuck won first & second in the Amateur Pole Bending.  He rode TRUE RANCHER DOLL to win the 2009 Bayer Select World Championship and was Reserve World Champion on our home-bred FRENCH KISS THIS. It was an incredible feeling of pride...it overwhelms me every time I think about that afternoon.    LA

The 2009 AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was just amazing.   It's exciting to cheer on and support the great horses with LA connections especially when they compete on such a top level.   To be able to share and celebrate in the success with the owners, exhibitors, their families and our friends was an even greater experience. Congratulations go out to the following winners!  Memories of a lifetime...so glad I was there.    LA

It was a close race for the World Championship title in Amateur Pole Bending.  Brannon Riley and HALEYS JO CHARM pulled out the win narrowly getting by Chuck and SUGAR RULLAH who claimed the AQHA Reserve World Championship in Amateur Pole Bending.   My heart was pounding out of my chest as I watched this class.   If I had to describe it in one word...THRILLING!!!
Doug & Lane Smith rode their 2x AQHYA Reserve World Champion, GOTTA ANOTHER GEAR to Top Five finishes in Senior Pole Bending and Senior Barrel Racing to collect the $5,000 dollar bonus for the MVH (Most Valuable Horse) Award.
THEIR JUST JEALOUS and Phillip Mills finished Top Ten in both Junior Pole Bending and Junior Barrel Racing.    It was a trying year for this young man and so happy to see him rewarded especially with his good friend Bill Floyd by his side.

BINGHAMS RHETT BUTLER and Bob Ruwe, who are the 2003 Cowboy Mounted Shooting World Champions Class 5.   Bob is a CMSA Hall of Fame Cowboy.   Together they demonstrated their lightning quick mounted shooting skills for a packed house at the AQHA World Show Finals.  It was very impressive.

Double the Fun!  The PHBA World Championship Show was held July 18-24th, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.   AMYS TOPLESS TIME won the Senior Flag Race and PURE PLATNIUMwon the Junior Flag Race.  Both mares are full-sisters.   Mike Estes went with us and shared in the excitement.  As he owns the sire, UB GOOD AS GOLD and the dam, TOPPERS ROSIE TIME.

FRENCH KISS THIS wins another  PHBA World Title at the 2010 PHBA World Show in Tulsa Oklahoma.   Chuck puts together a good run to win the Amateur Pole Bending.   She also finished Top Five in Barrel Racing.

On August 4th, 2010 we traveled to Memphis, TN to compete for the first time at the International Buckskin Horse Association World Championship Show.   Our youngest daughter, Kelsey and our home-bred mare, HOWBADDOUWANTIT were named IBHA World Champions in Youth Pole Bending and Reserve World Champions in Youth Barrel Racing and Open Barrel Racing.   The trip was extra special because her papaw, Ted Lucas came along to watch her ride!

The 2010 AQHA Adequan Select World Championship Show...I couldn't imagine how this show could get any better than last year...but when Chuck and his mare, "SUPER" smoked the barrel pattern in the finals to win the Amateur Barrel Racing World Championship!   Words can't explain the emotions I had when he was the truly "the last man" standing in the arena!!

Chuck was the lucky one...he had a cheering section from Indiana that could be heard from outside the arena when made that run!   The Hoosier cheerleaders joined us for the win photo.

Congratulations to MY GOODBYE TIME, a LA homebred and Lynn Cornelius of Arkansas on their TOP FIVE Junior Pole Bending at the 2010 AQHA World Championship Show.    MY GOODBYE TIME is the last foal out of one our great show mares...Delicate Decision, who was an AQHA Hi-Pt Pole Bending Champion.   Her pedigree is filled with pole bending super stars and she will be no exception.   Good luck to the Cornelius Family.

The first Saturday in March, Chuck and I were fortunate enough to fly to Texas for the 2010 AQHA Convention with our friends, Kathy & Doug Bawel.    Both took home belt buckles...Chuck won the 2010 AQHA Hi-Pt Open Pole Bending and Kathy won the 2010 AQHA Limited Rider.    We have won a few AQHA Hi-Pt titles, but this was the first time we made the trip to the AQHA convention to receive the our award.   "Here's to good times and good friends"

What a difference a year makes!  2011 AQHA Select Amateur Pole Bending WorldChampion, LEAVIN EM WISHIN, aka Martha.

This was Martha's second year to travel to the AQHA Amateur Select World Championship Show in Amarillo, Texas.  In 2010 she did not handle the long haul and was not able to adjust to the ground, but in 2011 she had done a little growing up mentally and physically.   She came to this show with her game on.  Winning both  preliminaries and final rounds of the pole bending.

Martha also placed 9th in the amateur barrel racing.

Brock Bawel of Jasper, IN is a stand out basketball player and knows how to puts points on the board, both on the court and in the show ring...Brock and A Real Over Achiever qualified for the AQHYA Youth World Show and the AQHA Open World Championship Show.   They were 2011 Congress Reserve Champions in 13 & under Barrel Racing and they are leading the AQHA Limited Rider in Youth Pole Bending.   We look for big things out of this team in 2012.
Everything happens for a reason...Chuck had qualified SUGAR RULLAH, aka "Super" for both the AQHA Amateur Select and Amateur Championship Shows Pole Bending.  Due to unfortunate circumstances we had to scratch her from the Select World Show.   While at the Select World Show we paid her entries for the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show.   In November at the 2011 AQHA World Show, Chuck SUGAR RULLAH earned a second Reserve World Championship in Amateur Pole Bending.  More challenging than her first one, because she had to acclimate to 2 separate arenas with different ground conditions.  All though both arenas had similar qualities the times reflected a different story.   It put a new spin on the average this year.

Congratulations SHEZ GONE FOR GOOD, a LA homebred and Lane Smith of Ward, Arkansas.  Lane added another bronze trophy to his collection when he finished third in the Junior Pole Bending at the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, OK.   SHEZ GONE FOR GOOD is 3/4 sister to The Smith's 2x AQHYA Reserve World Champion, GOTTA ANOTHER GEAR.

When Lance Kendrick and IT PAYS MORE TO WIN, a LA homebred who finished 3rd claiming the bronze trophy in Amateur Pole Bending at the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show. Jan Kendrick was as wild as I ever seen her...with big hugs she nearly squeezed the air out of Chuck and I. Chuck swore she cracked a rib! Good to see great things happen for special friends. Even better to share in the celebration!!

Nice Surprise...Took our 4 yr old homebred, THE TALKINS OVER to the NPBA Championship Show the first weekend in July.   He had been started in poles back in the winter, but not shown in them.   Chuck ran him to maybe 5 shows prior to this.   TO took everything in stride and ran a little green and ended up winning the 3-D in the "Stephanie Marcum" Amateur Pole Bending.   Won the coolest trophy donated by The Kendrick Family and Len Brown also sponsored the class too, won a custom-fit Cinch.

VICTORY LAP...Morgan Jones, age 14 and MONEY MAKIN JET, age 5 win 2012 AQHYA World Championship Barrel Racing Title on August 2-8, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Kevin, Morgan's Dad approached us about wanting to purchase Money Makin Jet for his daughter.   They came to the barn to ride MJ and Morgan clicked with the mare right away.  Without delay Kevin made arrangements to purchase the mare for his daughter.   It's just what Dad's do!!!

Morgan and MJ are equally as talented in Pole Bending too.  We look forward to their list of accomplishments getting even longer.

2012 AQHA AMATEUR SELECT RESERVE WORLD CHAMPION STAKE RACE on August 28th in Amarillo, Texas.   A FAMOUS FACE, a LA home-bred by Dash Ta Fame out of She Luvs Alotta Mony.

This was her first big event we had hauled her to and she did very well.   She had alot to take in just a few days.  We can only hope this will be a good stepping stone for the AQHA World Championship Show in November where she will compete in Junior Poles, Amateur and Junior Barrels.

SUGAR RULLAH showed us why she has the name...SUPER on August 28th, 2012 in Amarillo, Texas at the AQHA Amateur Select World Championship Show...SUPER sealed the deal as the 2012 AQHA Select Amateur Pole Bending World Champion.

This is her second AQHA Select World Championship after winning AQHA Amateur Select Barrel Racing title in 2010.

She is the most remarkable mare we have ever owned!!

Our trip in OKC was cut short, but Brittany was determined something positive was gonna come from it.  She asked me to fax her late entries to the North American.   The next day at 5:30am she and RAGTIMES JET, aka "Cinco" ( a 3 yr old stallion by Ragtime Jet) were headed to Louisville.    Around 10 am she called to tell me they had won the Junior Pole Bending.  A phone call I will always remember!!!     We couldn't be happier for Brittany...You made us very proud!!!  She has definitely worked hard to do big things with "Cinco" and plans to continue in 2013.
On August 4, 2013...my daughter, Kelsey and I loaded up my 5 yr old LA homebred, "The Talkins Over" to run at the IBHA World Championship Show in Cloverdale, IN.   With all the extra coaching I received from Kelsey and Chuck instructions via telephone--we won the 2013 IBHA Open Barrel Racing World Championship!  Thanks,  LA

Best show ever for Ty Cornelius of ARK and Pacinhowietothebar!  This young team were the only pair to make finals in all 3 speed events(poles, barrels and stake race) at the 2013 AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   It gets even better when they earned a Reserve Championship in the Stake Race, Top Ten in barrels and poles...WAY TO GO COWBOY!

Brock Bawel of IN and his partner, A Real Over Achiever earned the 2013 AQHYA Reserve World Championship Show in Youth Pole Bending, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   The perfect partnership from the very beginning! Told your Momma from the start you had enough talent to win...you just needed the right horse to take you there.  Good Ride, Brock!

FLASH:   Recently named the 2013 AQHA World Champion in Senior Pole Bending.   Clocking the only 19.9 in the final go round...IMPRESSIVE!

The Kevin & Julie Laswell  of Santa Claus, Indiana decide to bring show horses back into their life and the lives of the children, Hunter & Halle.   In early March they purchased TC Playin Doc Quixote for Kevin, who quickly racked up points in barrels & poles.   Also a 2013 AQHA World Show Qualifer in four events and currently in the AQHA Top Ten in Junior Barrels.   Their biggest win to date was the 2013 AQHA Novice East Championship in Amateur Barrel Racing & Pole Bending!!
At our December 14th, Madison County Quarter Horse Asociation year end banquet.  Chuck was presented with a special "Pay It Forward" award, this beautiful glass sculpture sponsored by Willow Run Farm given by Tommy & Connie Masters.   A heart felt thanks to you both for recognizing all the contributions and time this man has made to build and grow our local quarter horse community.   Chuck was humbled by the award and proud to receive it.   Thanks Again!
Big CONGRATULATIONS to Lauren Burnette of IN and The Talkins Over, an LA homebred by Frenchmans Guy for winning her first of two IHBA World Championships at the 2014 IBHA WORLD SHOW in Cloverdale, IN on August 4th.  Lauren won the youth barrel racing title and a repeat victory for The Talkins Over in the Open Barrel Race!   You are driven with desire to be the best and you worked hard for this-A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT...SO PROUD!
